The Fund received significant pledges and cash from the Ellen DeGeneres Wildlife Fund and various Board members of the Fund restricted to the design, construction and support of the proposed Project. The Fund acquired approximately 15 acres of land for the Project. The Project will provide expanded facilities for educational programming, research, visitor engagement, and housing for visiting research and student personnel. The Project will commence in the summer of 2019 with a projected completion date in early 2021. The Project, when completed, will replace the currently leased facility in Musanze[.]" |
